Re-Discovering History... Bringing the Past to Life Through Insights Into Those Who Made It Happen

Triumphs and tragedies... epic battles and great discoveries... History is the story of mankind filled with human suffering as well as intense joy, shared with others through tales which can inspire us all to learn more and achieve a better understanding of the human condition.

I've had a lifelong fascination with history- how people created outstanding inventions, why wars were fought, the waypersons with determination overcame enormous odds and achieved great things. The story of America is written every day in the lives and actions of its workers, politicians, a wide range of citizens from all walks of life who over the decades have made an impact on our society. From the beginnings of our nation in the 1600s up into the 21st century, it is worth focusing attention "behind the scenes", to clearly see and understand the details of our heritage which are important for us all to know. I have researched and written historical novels and non-fiction historical narratives; see my books listed here for more details. Read my "Living History" newspaper column, which focuses on historical and cultural sites around the Brandywine Valley. Attend my events around the Chester County/Philadelphia area, as well as the tri-state region (PA-DEL-MD).
